Biography

Crystal Lotus was formed in the summer of 2008 by four Parkland High School seniors with a love for the blues. With each of the members having different influences, their sound has developed into an indescribable style of blues-rock, with mixes of jazz, funk, psychedelic and jam. They are currently in the early stages of recording their first studio album, and are expecting the project to be completed by the summer. They have been playing around the Lehigh Valley area at such venues such as Croc Rock, numerous charity events, a brief time as the house band at the Crave Lounge restaurant and more. They also make annual trips to play at Laconia Bike Week in Laconia, NH. On lead vocals and bass guitar is Johnny Kilman. Johnny's influences range from ambient to southern rock. His funk driven bass lines and guitar grooves give Crystal Lotus its signature sound. On lead guitar, Rich Lesmeister brings the roots blues sound into the picture. His riffs pay tribute to blues greats such as Eric Clapton and Dickey Betts. On organ and piano, Dan Incalcaterra's keyboard skills are unmatched. He has been playing piano since 5 years old, and adds a sound reminiscent of Ray Manzarek of The Doors and Jimmy Smith. On drums, Parker Horveath provides the rhythm with a percussive style that draws from funk, jazz, rock and reggae.
