Bio

There are many people that would label Caleb “tha Bridge” (Andrick Buggs) as a lyrical prodigy, a spiritual extrovert, or maybe just plain real, but what he loves most is to be called a bold believer. “Christianity is not based on what you think or feel, but what you believe,” says Caleb. “I know that Jesus paid a great price for the remission of my sins, that’s why I worship and adore him. I have purposed in my heart to be a seeker of God’s face and not just his hand. He’s the giver of this gift that I have as an artist so I know that my purpose is more than just to entertain but to uphold the validity that Jesus is Lord through Hip Hop music.”

Through the likes of secular artists such as Public Enemy, L.L. Cool J, Dr. Dre along with a host of other artists was Andrick’s interest in rap music ignited in the early 90’s. Andrick, a native of Memphis, TN, at the age of 13 would learn the lyrics to songs by such artists and would mimic them as though he were that particular artist. By the age of 15 he began to write his own lyrics to different songs and would challenge other young rappers at school and in the neighborhood. Finally at the age of 18, he began a true quest towards the music industry by joining the group K-9 Unit and later on another group Blue Steel. Between K-9 Unit and Blue Steel, many record labels, including Interscope and Warner Bros., voiced their interest in the young rappers, but none of the deals would ever go through. Little did Andrick know that it was only God protecting the gift that He'd given him.

Still being blinded by fame and fortune, he continued to pursue the secular music industry not realizing that his life was slowly making a turn for the worst. During this time he continued to associate with the “wrong crowd”, which ultimately got him incarcerated for 2 years in the Shelby County Correctional Center. Although he accepted Jesus as his personal Savior at the age of 11, it was during the time of his incarceration that he rededicated his life and made Jesus Lord of his life! He then realized and acknowledged that God had a calling on his life to minister through music.

Today, Andrick a.k.a. Caleb “tha Bridge” is one of the most sought after Holy Hip Hop artists in the nation, not only because of his ministry gift as an artist, but also because of the testimony that follows. Among his many accomplishments, Caleb has shared the stage with artists such as: TRIN-I-TEE 5:7, Kutless, Canton Jones, Gospel Gangtaz (now known as Camp 8), Todd Agnew, Rickey B & 4 Given, Mr. Del, The Firefal Band, The University of Mississippi Gospel Choir, along with countless others. Caleb is currently gearing up for his highly- anticipated debut release "Spiritual Therapy Vol.1... Soundtrack 2 Life.”

Facing the pressures of a promising career and the everyday thoughts of a young Man of God with a passionate vision to complete every work that God sets before him, Caleb continues to stand firm on his faith in God to see it all through. “According to 2 Corinthians 5:18, every believer has automatically been called into the ministry of reconciliation, so that alone is my mission, to be a “BRIDGE” that will lead unbelievers to Christ and to offer a word of reconciliation to believers so we all can walk in the divine authority of total life prosperity which is all our Heavenly Father wants for us.”
