Bio

Cuda, Renko & Cuda Bio

In the tradition of Mahavishnu Orchestra, Chick Corea, Yes, King Crimson, Weather Report and Miles Davis, CuDa, RenKo & CuDa have created their own brand of original Prog/Jazz instrumental music.

Cuda, Renko & Cuda was formed in 2006. They have performed their original progressive jazz/fusion compositions in area clubs and been the opening act for such luminaries as Allan Holdsworth, Adrian Belew Tony Levin, Carl Palmer (ELP) and Project Object (former Zappa members). C,R&C have already recorded 3 CD's and have a 4th in the works. They have played New York City and Toronto as well as playing locally in Cleveland.

Chris Cuda is a self-taught guitarist and disciple of the late Cleveland legend, Bill D'Arrango and a close friend of guitar virtuoso, Allan Holdsworth. Chris plays many electric guitars and guitar synthesizer. Chris is also a masterful classical acoustic guitar player as well. His wide-ranging compositions show his unique and creative approach to music.

Tony Cuda plays both fretted and fretless electric bass. After studying jazz composition and arranging at Berklee School of Music in Boston, Tony returned to Cleveland and began writing new music that stretched the boundaries of 70’s fusion. The result has been continuous growth as a writer and contributing member of this band.

Steve Renko is a 21 year old drumming phenom. Imagine starting out on the drums as a child by studying under the legendary Bob Mckee, and by your early teens playing with the likes of the Ernie Krivda Big Band! Steve can play fluently in any time signature and adds the drive to make the Cuda, Renko & Cuda compositions come alive.
