Cue-P

The word talent is frequently overused particularly with reference to music. We tend to forget the word ability, by not saying, one has the ability to sing, dance or write. However, it must be said that this young artist Cue-P (QP) is a talented singer/sing-jay/songwriter. A clean sound complemented with clever originals lyrics are what Cue-P takes along with him to the music industry; he is also blessed with sweet melodies to his songs. He is not limited to doing just love songs but sings about various topics in his songs, which may include social commentary or just about anything that people experience on a daily basis. This along with his rhymes, melodies and lyrical content makes it easy for individuals to emulate his music and sing along only after hearing them only once.

Cue-P’s music can be described as a fusion of Reggae, Dancehall and R&B (soul). He respects the works of reggae’s greats including Beres Hammond, the late Dennis Brown among others, but is influenced by the younger acts such as Daville, Gyptian, Busy Signal, Mavado, Aidonia and Assailant. Cue-P seeks to take his music internationally while maintaining his presence locally. The singer, Cue-P is known for being the women’s favourite wherever he performs; especially when he sings the crowd favourite and possible lead single “Baby Oh”. His biggest event to date is Spectrum 2007 where he was well received by the majority. He is currently working very hard to build on his talent and is willing to work with any serious producer in locally or internationally.

Born August 1986 in Porus Manchester, Cue-P’s given name is Patrick Pinnock. He attended Decartret College and is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree at The University of The West Indies Mona with a major in Geography.
