Biography
Singer/Songwriter Cullen Miller’s music is transcending genre. On his freshman release he seamlessly blends rich, textured musical compositions with solid, pop song structures and catchy hooks. His honest, emotional lyrics and soulful, vocal melodies are ever so delicately supported by energetic, alternative/rock instrumentation. Cullen is a versatile kind of artist that has the uncanny ability to sing as well as play guitar, keyboards and percussion. He recently released his first solo album in December of 2009, a self-titled EP containing seven original, beautifully orchestrated pop songs that he feels best showcase his talent. The songs on the album were written by him; he performed all of the instruments on it and it was produced, engineered and mastered all by Cullen himself in his home studio.
Cullen was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He began developing his ear with his first piano lessons at age six and then continued to cultivate his musical talents with additional training on guitar, percussion and voice. In his teenage years, Cullen spent his time as a drummer and co-songwriter for the band SunDown. In 2005, Cullen began writing songs for himself and recording them using nothing but a tape player and his roomate’s harmonica microphone. He further cultivated his songwriting craft when he acquired his first recording machine, a 4-track recorder and signed up for his first singing lessons. It was around this time that he started to take himself seriously as a singer and songwriter and started to believe he could sing his own songs. He took his first singing lessons through ‘06 and, in ‘07, put his songs to the test and created his first very own rock group, StereoBlind for which he was front man and eventually shared front man duties with singer and longtime friend Andy Metz. The band never released an album and only played two shows until 2008, when StereoBlind had to disintegrate after Cullen moved to the west coast to live with his then girlfriend. Now, after a year, Cullen is back in Lancaster and, at the ripe age of 25, continues to live out his dream as a working musician, all the meanwhile helping out the revitalization of independent art in his hometown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He continues to play solo acoustic shows as well as shows with longtime bassist Johnny Resch. They also play electric, rock shows with their new drummer Mike Long.
His performances include sets at: The Lanc-a-Dank Music and Arts Festival, First Friday and Music Friday events as well as shows at the Chameleon Club and the Prince Street Café.

Lyrics
TO FIND HER
Written By: Cullen Miller
INTRO:
I had to come back home to find her
VERSE:
I had to start by getting in my car and trying to not fall asleep
Dead until dark, see the worlds move apart and maybe it's not really me
BRIDGE:
And I wanna shine for you tonight
And I want the night to last forever
CHORUS:
I had to come back home to find her
I had to come back home to find her
VERSE:
Sitting in chairs opposite across, we're not at a loss for words
It's not a lot to ask you for your heart if I could just find the words
BRIDGE:
And I wanna shine for you tonight
And I want the night to last forever
CHORUS:
I had to come back home to find her
I had to come back home to find her
ALT. SECTION:
Waiting to see you tonight and have you all up by my side and
What does this really mean, approaching new territories with
All of the sense I have and all the falling leaves we have to
Watch all the seasons pass by I just can't get too excited
I just can't get too excited, I just can't get too excited, I just can't get too excited
CHORUS:
I had to come back home to find her
I had to come back home to find her
OUTRO:
It's not a lot to ask you for your heart if I could just find the words
SHOT HIM IN HIS ARM
Written By: Cullen Miller
SHOT HIM IN HIS ARM
By Cullen Miller
VERSE:
There’s a fine line between love and hate
There’s a signal in the middle of your face
But I can’t have what one was mine
There’s an echo in your heart, divided by the dark
But it’s not gonna be what you thought it was
It’s gonna be something far more bright
CHORUS:
Shot him in his arm, shot him in his arm, shot him in his arm
Lying still on the floor
Shot him in his arm, shot him in his arm, shot him in his arm
Lying dead on the floor, lying dead on the floor
VERSE:
There's a fine line between love you make and all the things in the world that you've taken
Just get a grip but not too tight
Dont wait for the end you're right in the middle of your life, take a wife, make some friends
Just try and think about what's right
Just try and think about what's right
CHORUS:
Shot him in his arm, shot him in his arm, shot him in his arm
Lying still on the floor
Shot him in his arm, shot him in his arm, shot him in his arm
Lying dead on the floor, lying dead on the floor
SERIOUS
Written By: Cullen Miller
SERIOUS
By Cullen Miller
VERSE:
When they tell me I don't know
When you tell me I should go
CHORUS:
I'm so serious, I'm so serious
When I can't live without you but I can't be around you I'm so serious
VERSE:
Ooo!
I'd like to know you through and through
If I could show you what to do
CHORUS:
I'm so serious, I'm so serious
When I just wanna play and mess around all day I'm so serious
ALT. SECTION:
I don't want to think you're just messing with me
Unless you want to make it right I'm so serious
CHORUS:
I'm so serious, I'm so serious
When I just wanna play and mess around all day I'm so serious
I'm so serious, I'm so serious
When I can't live without you but I can't be around you I'm so serious
Forgiveness
Written By: Cullen Miller
VERSE:
Go - and don’t ever let it
Show – don’t act like you don’t
Know – what you have done to me so
Though – I’d do the same
Test – like a rat in a box
Nest – your eggs for the spring
Rest – your head on my shoulder
Mess – you left me in
BRIDGE:
Though I’d do the same
CHORUS:
I should know forgiveness
Although I can’t forgive this
She stole my heart and ran away with it
VERSE:
Wait – I don’t want it to end
Late – time of the day
Hate-what you have turned me into
Fate – what we’ve become
Undress – me with your eyes
Guess – you make feel
Less – like a person in disguise
Less – like something real
BRIDGE:
Though I’d do the same
CHORUS:
I should know forgiveness
Although I can’t forgive this
She stole my heart and ran away with it
I should know forgiveness
Although I can’t forgive this
She stole my heart and ran away with it
Out of Your Life
Written By: Cullen Miller
CHORUS:
Out of your life, out of your life
VERSE:
Faces don’t stay out of places today
I’ll lay next to you, you’re faded away
The order you gave me to fill was just too tall
I hoped you’d call just to tell me that you called
BRIDGE:
It’s gonna be cold outside today
I'll shut the door on my way
CHORUS:
Out of your life, out of your life
VERSE:
The draft hits my back and shakes down my spine
I’d like to do so many things can’t find the time
Though you left me out to dry it was fine
Though you stole my heart it’s not such a crime
BRIDGE:
It’s gonna be cold outside today
I'll shut the door on my way
CHORUS:
Out of your life, out of your life
Out of your life, out of your life
VERSE:
I can’t deal with it
I’ve taken too much abuse today
I can’t take anymore
Of this bullshit you left me with to stay
(BRIDGE)
CHORUS:
Out of your life, out of your life
Out of your life, out of your life
Out of your life, out of your life
Out of your life, out of your life
