Bio
Culture Cinematic is a six-piece band made up of T.J. Haverkamp on keys/synthesizers, Eric Harris on electric bass, Cameron Conyer on guitar, and Jonathan Thomas on drums. The ensemble is rounded out with Lacy Saunders and Jade Castle on vocals. The band is at the cutting edge of electronica, hip-hop, jazz, R&B, soul, additive rhythm workouts, singer/songwriter ballads, and funk.
Culture Cinematic has struck a fine balance between being entertaining without sacrificing musical integrity. They've played SXSW with soul music visionary Gregory J, Norman Music Festival and Plaza Fest behind hip-hop luminary Jabee, Twisted Root w jazz legends Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Urban Roots, and the annual Festival of the Arts in downtown OKC.
Recently, they have released an EP entitled Medusa/Madonna/Mona Lisa and are in the process of booking regional and national shows. Also, their song Water is featured on the Chevy Music Showcase compilation, Sounds of the Deep Deuce, presented by Adam & Kizzie. Their music has been played on the SPYFM radio show through KOSU, the local NPR affiliate. You can see them regularly in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.
