Bio
Curran Kiel started drums and percussion at the age of 9 after his parents noticed he was constantly tapping in rhythm to music and to fill silence. It was an instant love, and nothing else has made so much sense to him. Fast forward 18 years, Curran is now a full-time professional musician, currently playing with Oceanside favorite Shane Hall of Law Records, as well as rock band Sterner Stuff. He also performs in and manages a private entertainment act known as "Boon & Kiel". Curran's style is a fusion of bombastic, high energy drumming influenced by many rock acts (Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool, Led Zeppelin, Queens of The Stone Age) and the conversational, finessed nature of Jazz and Blues drumming (Gene Krupa, Joe Morello). Curran's mission is to always serve the song in the best way possible while keeping the audience's feet moving and hearts pounding.
