What is your name and what city do you rep?
I go by Curtdarula , I rep Philadelphia , pa .
What is unique about you and your music?
What’s unique about me and my sound is that I am able to be myself on almost anything. I create my own beats and I engineer my own using. I’m able to play with styles such as reggae , pop , and hip hop. I have various flows I think it’s amazing !
What shaped your music?
What shaped my sound was my opportunity to become a sound engineer in life. It helped me be able to work with my city the moment I opened it up to the public which allowed me to come across many flows , styles , & melodies. That generates new ideas everyday !
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
When I first put gained 25k views on my song “gotta know” within a 2 week time span!
What type of music do you listen to?
I listen to pop , hiphop , reggae & Trap.
Who, to you, is the most undervalued music artist?
I would say myself ! I deserve a lot of recognition ! It’s overdue
Who would you collab with out of any Artist or Producer?
I would work with Kanye west that’s my inspiration when it comes to producing .
What ignites your writing & creative juices?
A melody. Melodies take me to another state of mind which generates the direction of the song.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
I spend time with my family , i have 2 beautiful daughters & their dope ass mom ! We travel & explore on the regular.
If you weren’t making music professionally, what would you be doing?
I would invest in properties & open up studios across the world. Opening jobs for the younger engineers on the come up

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help an artist starting out?
To watch out for scammers !

Bio
CurtDaRula is an Artist & Producer born and raised in Brooklyn , New York. At the age of 12 ,Curt was able to learn how to engineer, produce and write his own records. By the age of 19, CurtDaRula has been able to work with over 100 artist & producers across the country, develop his own sound as well as fan base leading to his first official project. His First studio EP “If I RULA WORLD” will be released June 14, 2019.
