Curtis Smith is no stranger to gospel music. He has been actively involved in music ministry for more than 30 years in NYC. He has played 14 instruments and has recieved formal training specifically on drums. He's an accomplished musician, singer, engineer, songwriter, vocal arranger, and producer (as evidenced on his soon to be released debut CD, 'Have a lil' talk' on CW Records) with a Grammy nomination in 2004 (kelly Price, "he Proposed). Curtis owns and operates his NYC based studio facility, and is CEO to his own company, Credible Witness Entertainment, LLC.
Curtis is influenced by many of the top Gospel icons of today, Bishop Walter Hawkins, Edwin Hawkins, Andre Crouch, The Winans, BeBe Winans as a youngster he often emulated the vocal style and writing styles of these artists.
Curtis' Band is truely a group of musicians who are accustomed to being in the presence of GOD. As they minister in their respective churches, Curtis is the Minister of Music at his church, The Pilgrim Cathedral of Harlem, Bishop Charles J. Reed Sr. Pastor, Harlem, NY. He is also the First Assistant to the National Minister of Music for the Pilgrim Assemblies, Under National Min. of Music, Roger Jean. Arch-Bishop Roy E. Brown Presiding Bishop.
