Curt McGurt

It all started in 1991 when, at the age of 3, a keyboard was placed in front of Curtis Lindley, aka Curt McGurt. From there he went on to participate in his elementary band and orchestra where he played a combined 9 instruments including the flute, snare drums, and piano. After elementary music fell off and became non-existant for Curt. Basketball, girls, and video games took over the teenager's life.... Until he met Jason Lighten, CEO of Smash Bash Music Group. Jason helped Curt to realize his talent with music, the natural ability he had to create melodies and rhyme words at his will. They worked for an extensive amount of time with the music and developing Smash Bash into a more reknowned name around the city of Dallas, TX. "I remember listening to Kanye for the first time. I wanted to be just like him. Then I started listening to Lil Wayne, I wanted to be like him. Jay-Z, T.I., Lupe Fiasco, I wanted to do music period" Curt became determined to become a success in today's music industry. He began to make frequent trips to the studio to put in work for his mixtape "I Prove I Spit Vol.1" in which he released as a test project for the inner city of Dallas. The project started off his buzz and has led him to several other venues. Then came the good ole trial version of Frooty Loops and a keyboard. Curt developed a knack for making crafty beats, but didnt take it serious....until he made his first sale. From there he began to upgrade his software and hardware for production. Long nights and countless restless days are spent doing music, trying to live the dream of becoming the next star in the industry. With his arsenal of talent on both ends of rapping and producing, the name "Curt McGurt" will be ringing bells for a very, VERY long time.
