"CD Review"

"Who ever thought angry could sound so damn catchy??? Vipond and his band rock out really well, burying all kinds messages and subversive lyrics----sounds like amped-up Sublime and distored Jack Johnson, maybe a punk-rock take on Jason Mraz. This guy rocks live, too...."

"Media Controls the World” presents a strong argument in favor of declaring Chris V. & the Stanley Street Band this area’s most dangerous band; they have some things to say!"

-Jim Price, - Jim Price

"Article in This is Lion Country"

"The band has a funky, groovy sound with heartfelt vocals. While they play mostly original music that is inspired by Vipond’s observation and reflection on life..."

-Jessica Savrock, Centre Daily Times' This is Lion Country Magazine - Jessica Savrock

"Radio Appearance Recap"

"WOW, what a show! This was one of those jaw-droppingly excellent editions of the "Backyard Rocker," where the musical guests took the program on a musical free-for-all joyride that made the show's host regretful when the program's end time of 10 PM rolled around!"

With a backbone of rock and roll, the soul of a jam band and the voice of social protest, Chris Vipond and the Stanley Street Band deliver an honest spectrum of sound.

Their songs “Shine” and “Tupelo Tree” have received airplay on SiriusXM Radio. They have over 3 albums worth of original material and average over 200 downloads a month from word of mouth alone without the aid of a record label or promoter. They also design and produce all of their own merchandise such as T shirts, posters, stickers, website, other artwork, and designs. Chris Vipond and the Stanley Street Band host several of their own annual festivals Jam on the Ridge, and the annual Hammond Farm Jam through their in-house production company, Soulbot Productions, with an attendance average of 400-600 people.

Part of the band's foundation and discipline is drummer Randy Servello, who spent 20 years as Sergeant First Class Musical Leader for the Army’s 10th Mountain Division Band.

Chris Vipond and the Stanley Street Band originate from the mountains of Central Pennsylvania in the forgotten railroad city of Altoona. Chris Vipond’s poignant songwriting is highlighted by the Stanley Street Band’s intensely funky brand of folk rock. The music is charged with searing guitar leads, multi-part harmonies, on-point drum execution, funky bass, soulful Hammond organ, and an unrelenting conviction.
