James Ward, better known by his fans as C. Ward, is one of the hottest young rappers known around Middle Tennessee. The 26 year old artist was born in Jackson, TN but later moved to Murfreesboro, TN and has been rapping since he was eight years old. Ward graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in December 2012 with a degree in Mass Communication. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
C. Ward’s music conveys the theme of a college lifestyle while also instilling positive vibes of how he lives to turn his dream into a reality. He has been an instrumental member in several music groups with the most recent being Track Star Music Group (T$MG). His musical influences include Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, and Big Sean to name a few.
Ward is currently working on his third solo release titled “The Honor Roll EP.” This album is set to feature work from producer Black Metaphor, who is known for his work with Meek Mill’s “In God I Trust” and Young Jeezy’s “Get Right.” The first single titled “Faded” was produced by Cory Todd. The album is scheduled to be released this year in 2015.
