Bio
Of charismatic caricature of a frontman Matthew Basile Time Out NY says, "cyd glore's deep rolling vocals are a lovely complement to his rootsy, country-tinged-blues rock."
Their debut release, "personally, i'd rather not be fishing... an album by ::cyd glore's new masterpiece::" is a musical meditation on the inevitability of death, fleeting memories of love, and a palpable exasperation with Los Angeles; all of which are articulated with often disarming wit and profundity. With influences as varied as Johnny Cash, Jeff Tweedy, Radiohead and Andy Kaufman, the sound is both contemporary and classic, while their ability to break down traditional barriers between artist and audience make the high-energy ::cgnm:: live show a treat for followers and new-comers alike.
::cgnm:: is currently supporting the record with performances in and around NYC including a showcase at the 2006 CMJ Music Marathon.
