Cyndi's vocal gift has opened doors of opportunity to travel abroad to sing at numerous Jazz festivals. This year she toured in Lugano, Switzerland for the Blues to Bop Festival and and has toured Italy, where she was invited to perform at the Umbria Jazz Festival 2005's annual Christmas Celebration & New Years Day events taking place throughout this beautiful country. Her musical influences vary on any given day, one day could be a sparrow or a rain storm, another could be a talk with a friend or her perception of a child playing on the swings laughing; life is an inspiration in and of itself. So Cyndi often gleans musically from life moments. What sets her apart is the ability to "hit it flat footed". Delivering an original song or even a popular one which moves the soul of the listener. In fact, her accapella rendition of "Get Here" won soul stirring accolades from the Steve Harvey Morning Show cast including Oscar winner/Comedianne Monique one morning on the "Other Idol" segment in 2009. Monique' did a guest spot that day, and judges were stumped to choose 1 winner between Cyndi and 2 others. The contest was resolved by Monique offering to put up her own $100 prize money to allow all 3 contestants, including Cyndi to win. Monique commented, "These sistas can SANG! " More recently 4/8,9/2011, Cyndi gave a stellar dramatic performance alongside R&B artist Kelly Price, in the gospel musical entitled "After The Walk" where she portrayed an over the top church diva, Sis. Carmen. The play ran for 2 days at Newark,NJ's Symphony Hall. On February 14, 2011, Cyndi released her first single entitled "What If I". It's a challenging, inspirational and moving composition highlighting the importance of pursuing one's God given purpose. This smash single is available for download at iTunes, Digstation.COM & CDBaby.
