"Pop-Rock: Cynthia Del’Aria – {EP}ic"

(EP)ic is the latest release from local artist Cynthia Del’Aria. Recorded in LA and it shows … great composition and lyrics, and the recording is almost flawless, although her vocals could’ve been hotter in the mix. Cynthia’s style ranges from 80s hair-band Rock to a gorgeous ballad (and my favorite track), “The Next Breath”, that would make Kelly Clarkson envious. A wide range, very natural unforced delivery and a gorgeous tone, I don’t doubt she could make a living recording books on tapes after her Rock-star career. Cynthia’s look on the album art says “I’m gonna Rock you like Madonna, Pat Benatar and Lita Ford rolled into one … except that I’m a lot hotter”… which she is. Hopefully we’ll see her on the live circuit soon – just make sure you bring your hairspray, leather, lighters, and party like it’s 1988!

Bio

Cynthia Del’Aria released her first original EP entitled "{EP}ic" on September 15, 2009. Her two new singles—"Rock Your Body", a dance rock tune and "For Once", a powerful rock ballad—are already generating a buzz among industry professionals and devoted fans.

Del’Aria may be an exciting new talent on the rock scene, but she’s no newcomer when it comes to singing and entertaining. She was performing solos and harmonies in an adult choir by the time she was 9 years old, was a professional wedding singer in her early teens, and performed in numerous musical theater productions throughout her teen years.

But it wasn’t until 2003—when she began writing original songs—that Del’Aria discovered her passion for rock music. Influenced by the raw, powerful vocals of such legendary female rockers as Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks, and Joan Jett, Del’Aria found herself writing songs in a pure, classic rock style.

Rather than join the trend of young pop singers whose voices are transformed and mutated through equipment, Del’Aria fully embraces the intricacies of her distinctly human voice. Her edgy yet down-to-earth sound, combined with a palpable on-stage energy, distinguishes Del’Aria from the pack.

A consummate entertainer with a sharp business mind, Cynthia Del’Aria is poised to take the music industry by storm.
