D Nxce

D Nxce, born DarshawnBrown, is a Christian hip hop artist from the city of Akron, OH. He started writing music when he was 18 years old. His father had a studio in his basement where his aunt and brother spent a lot of time recording. It wasn’t until they finally convinced him record a verse on a song that he discovered his talent and love for writing music. Later, he his aunt and brother began a music group called “La Familia” where they performed at places like Thursdays Lounge, The University of Akron, and The House of Blues. They released an album titled “Expect the Unexpected” that included their most popular single “Pink Panther”.

D Nxce then went through a difficult time in his life where he wasn’t feeling very much support, as well of coping with the death of his father, and still mourning the loss of his grandmother Louise even several years after her passing. He began living a life that he was not proud of, and had steppedaway from the music for a while. It wasn’t until decided to give his life over to Christ that he began to heal. Soon after he got married and had two beautiful daughters and eventually felt inspired to write again.

Today, D Nxce is a solo artist whose goal is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ as well as inspire others through his perseverance to obtain his goals against all odds. As a solo artist D Nxce has released 3 singles, “Bright Future”, “Tell the Truth”, and “What U Doin?”, all of which are available on all digital music platforms. He has also done performances at the Mansfield Correctional Facility, The House of the Lord Annual Coat Drive, and several performances at his home church Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Also, D Nxce recently released his 1st music video shot by Set N Motion Productions, for his single “What U Doin” ft Afo Joe.”

D Nxce looks up to artist such as Tupac, Nipsey Hussle, and Bizzle. All 3 of these artists share a passion to motivate everyone around them, all while staying true to their music, and the message. For D Nxce, accomplishing this is the ultimategoal.
