Bio

Once the best kept secret of the Midwest, D'Yenna Dukes is quickly being revealed. A God given songbird, D'Yenna is not a stranger to the stage. She started thrilling audiences throughout her hometown, Cincinnati. Voted by Cincinnati as the Best Performing Artist of Black Cincinnati, her voice has allowed her to win numerous competitions including the Burger King Idol contest held at the Vibe Music Festival in Atlanta, Georgia and two time Showtime Apollo on Tour finalist. Following in the footsteps of the soulful Shirley Murdock, D'Yenna not only was a background vocalist for her, but she was also the female singer for the legendary funk band, Zapp. Who was under the leadership of the late and talented Roger Troutman. This award winning, chart topping group has cranked out hits such as, "Computer Love", "Dance Floor", "More Bounce to the Ounce" and "I Wanna Be Your Man" to name a few.  After Zapp, D'Yenna continued to tour and record with Southern Soul star, Bigg Robb and Da' Problem Solvas.  With vocal appearances on "Crying Zone", "Booty Whip" and "Sugar Shack".  Currently, D'Yenna is recording her debut music project titled Soul:Exposed which is also the name of the talented musicians who accompany her. This project has already gained buzz as a key contributor to the rebirth of R&B. With such a high rank, D'Yenna has the skills, confidence and professional experience to hold that title.  In addition, she is the current Host of R&B Live Charlotte.  A monthly showcase in the heart of Charlotte, NC for vocalists and musicians.  D'Yenna is dedicated to contributing her time, talent and creativity to the entertainment industry.
