D1 EXPERIENCE

The D1 Experience consists of five musicians and two vocalists. Each member comes from a different musical background from Latin, Gospel, Blues, Rock, R&B, Pop, and more. These differences create an edgy sound and allow the band to play all genres of music. D1’s sound, style, and performance cannot be compared to any other band in the Northwest because of the energy and sexiness during performance, and the capability to create a cover R&B song to a Rock or Latin song. Unlike most bands D1 is truly a live band using no tracks or added sounds to music. Some of the industry’s icons influence the D1’s sound; John Meyer, Brian McKnight, Beyonce, Dave Mathew, Mint Condition, Earth Wind and Fire, Tina Turner, and Anita Baker just to name a few.
The band name D1 Experience comes from the middle name of Mr. D1 himself, the band leader and visionary Marcell Du’Juan Harris. His first vision included musicians playing all genres of music, catering to a diverse fan base. Along with this vision was a name that represented a little of himself (Du'Juan), yet embodied being on top of the music industry (#1). After the band's first few instrumental only performances, Du'Juan realized D1 could create a larger following and grander show if he added vocalists. As a team, the musicians were very methodical in choosing what the band's "front" would look like. After 3 months of auditions and performances, two female vocalists were chosen. The addition made the vision start to become reality; making the shows ones that people were enjoying while present, and talking about when they left. They were "experiencing" the complete band D1! It was inevitable that the name would then become, the D1 Experience.

D1 Experience is available for casinos, corporate events/benefits, parties, weddings, and worldwide tours. D1 Productions has been set into motion, providing the complete entertainment package as well as the creation of original D1 Experience recordings. The youth and talent of this band make the musical adventures of D1 Experience, without limit!
