“D3”
Memphis’ own 10-year-old Rapper/Dancer Demetrius Dodson, better known by his stage name “D3” was born September 27, 2001. “D3” has been performing live since the very young age of 7. He is very passionate about the gifts that God has blessed him with and is NOT shy about displaying them in the least bit. Any opportunity that he has to showcase his talents, he does just that. “D3” is known for his smooth footwork, creative dance style, and his lyrical flow. He is only 10, but when you listen to his music and see him perform you will see that this kid is a natural. “D3” just completed the video for his single entitled “Super”. The song is currently being played on Clear Channel Memphis 95.7FM, K97.1FM, Atlanta’s WIGO AM1570, KORU Radio in Oklahoma, Michigan in Toronto & Ontario Canada, and the World Wide Web of three of these stations. The artist "D3" got his start by becoming a winner of a Talent Showcase. The footage from the event was placed on facebook and youtube and after doing so he has been invited to be a part of many different venues. These venues include states such as Memphis, Arkansas, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Atlanta to name a few. “D3” has performed for various events ranging from church events, “special guest appearances” for talent showcases, block parties, opening for teen clubs, concerts, and the list goes on and on.“D3” has performed for the radio station 95.7FM, Block Party for Peace, The Civil Rights Museum, New Daisy Theater (In Memphis, TN.), for The Rhythm Of Gospel Award Show, and he was also asked to be a part of the YEGA Awards in Atlanta, Georgia. “D3” has appeared on Memphis News Fox 13 and Live at 9 News Channel 3. “D3” has been blessed to appear on the same stage with various artists such as Mr. Del, Pure Breed, Yung Titan, B. Jackson, Teflon Don, Lil P-Nut, Lil Chris, The Walker Boys, and many more. “D3” was one of the finalists to appear on BET’s 106 & Park Blaze The Stage with Mr. Pat Charles. He has also appeared in the music video “They be like” by Lil P-Nut, “Heal the Hood” by Ann P, and The Detox Tour. “D3” not only loves to perform on stage but he also loves to act and model as well. He has done runway modeling for Reflections Modeling & Talent Agency, Models On A Mission, and The Rhythm Of Gospel Fashion Show. “D3” is currently in the studio working on his new album, which will be released by April 2012.
