For over 17 years Ray Confer has thrilled audiences by performing high energy standard and gospel blues, both as a solo artist and as part of various bands. Ray, a Christian, performs live shows, performs on the popular online virtual world Second Life, and can also be heard on Wicked Karma Internet Radio. Inspired at a young age by watching a video of Stevie Ray Vaughn performing live at El Mocambo, Ray developed a life long passion for playing the guitar and singing the blues. He loves to play high energy gospel and spiritual blues, as well as many standard covers from artists like Buddy Guy, BB King and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Current influences include Bottleneck John (a highly underrated bluesman), Joe Bonamassa, and Corey Harris. Hailing from Maine, Ray has performed extensively in central Florida and throughout his home state. With recording of his first solo album underway, Ray looks forward to bringing the pulpit of the blues to a town near you!
