Perhaps you discovered Daddy Longlegs the summer 2006, where the group distinguished itsel twice with the Indétendances Festival in Paris Plage, then with the Parisian festival "Rock en Seine", thanks to an explosive stage interpretation.
If Daddy Longlegs's music falls under the long line of the Anglo-Saxon culture rock'n'roll of guitars bands, one cannot prevent oneself from appreciating all 'latin' savour of their first album. Indeed if the choice of the English language is essential, spanish intercalates on some titles, like "Carribean Law"... One of the climax of this disc is without any doubt "Cuban Cigars", with its trombones and its choked guitar's riff, which take more and more power on the final.
In spite of this very varied aspect of Daddy Longlegs, it is the same rock'n'roll which is carried with some passages particularly involving, like "Blank"'s chorus, "Tatoo"s break which however starts in a style closer to Sergio Leone than to Radiohead, and the simplest but very effective "Inside Your Wall". The band is currently preparing its second album, and will be present at the "Printemps de Bourges" Festival (France).
