"Milwaukee's Hidden Gem"

It was my pleasure to work with Dad The Plow as they took their place on the Clownboy’s Wisconsin Bands Festival, which took place in Concorde, WI on October 8th of 2005. Their performance was outstanding and the assistance of Remo (DTP guitar master) during the planning stage of this event, was above and beyond what was expected of the participating bands.

The three men that make up D.T.P. are experienced on instrument, mic and stage. It shines through from the moment the stage lights go up and the crescendo of those first notes fills the club. Chris is the charismatic bass player and vocalist in the band and has solid support from Remo on guitar and Mike on drums. They gel personally, professionally and musically. Those aspects reflect in the quality of music they write and bring to the stage.

This trio joined forces in February 2004, and have been writing songs and performing together solidly since the bands inception. Dad The Plow is a slightly hidden gem that is now finding its way to the surface.

Each member utilizes his talents to the best of his ability at each and every performance. High energy, consistent talent and a touch of humor make for a great presentation, but that is only the beginning of what DTP brings to the stage. In an age of angry power chords that never seem to change, the sound of DTP is refreshing. Their style and delivery keeps up with the fellow heavy acts they often team up with, while maintaining an all important melody that the fans can move to. Dad The Plow hits the stage ripe with quality riffs, solid direction, understandable and well written lyrics,
After 2+ years of honing their collective sound, Dad The Plow is ready move up and out into the live scene with a drive to have their music heard by as many as possible.

Bio

This 3-piece act delivers the goods when it comes to meeting the demands of hungry heavy rock fans. Catchy riffs, melodic vocals, and strong musical arrangements allows this band to please the masses. Live Music Source has described Dad The Plow as “Milwaukee’s Hidden Gem.”

Dad The Plow was conceived in February of 2004 in the studio of founding member Chris Howard. Compiling fellow friends that all have had ties to the Milwaukee music scene for many years and have had success and recognition on many levels guaranteed a recipe for success. This strong bond shows through in their music and stage show.

“Each member brings their own musical style and flair to the band. Each one of our songs has a different style which gives us the ability to mix things up during the course of a show and keep the sound fresh” says Mike. “This also allows us the ability to tweak our performance based upon which bands we are sharing the stage with, and what crowd we anticipate performing in front of to ensure a fun and entertaining show.”

Dad The Plow continues to perform on a regular basis in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Madison, and Green Bay Wisconsin. The Spring of 2006 finds the band making their Illinois debut which will allow them the first opportunity to "cross the border".

Back in October of 2005 Dad The Plow performed to a large crowd at the WIBands.com Festival, which featured 5 of the areas best bands all representing their specific genre of music. This performance was captured on video and has been shown on Madison area cable stations.

The start of 2006 finds the band in top-notch form and gearing up to record their first CD. Up until now, only live performances have been available to download at the bands website at www.dadtheplow.com or on their MYSpace.com page at www.myspace.com/dadtheplow .
