Bio
Dadweed was formed in a re-purposed warehouse in October 2015 by James, Karlan, and Steve. The trio added Judy on bass shortly after and began writing fuzzed out pop songs. Centered around James' introspective songwriting and inspired by the sounds and aesthetic of the 90's, Dadweed composed a handful of songs about social anxiety and the ups and downs of living alternative lifestyles in east Vancouver. These songs were released on 2 demo tapes, "...lookin forward to it" (released June 19th) and "Arrangements" (released September 9th in cooperation with local tape label Never Better Records.) Following a tour of western Canada and riding the momentum of recent shows in DIY spaces and all-ages venues in and around east Vancouver, Dadweed is setting to work on their debut full length, tackling darker subject matter regarding death and complex emotion.
