"A sparse, sultry sonic wonder!"
-Alex Miller, KGLT FM (Bozeman, Montana)Born and raised in Montana, Daem brings her free spirit to the urban way of life. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, she now hails from Nashville, Tennessee and sets out to bridge the divide between singer-songwriters and creative producers with empowering to utterly vulnerable vocals paired with tribal, alternative beats along with both organic and electronic elements. She is currently working with Andrew Seltzer, a Brooklyn-based songwriter and producer, to release her debut EP, "Night Songs".
Daem's passion for bringing peace and light to every encounter has brought her closer to her goals of being an advocate and ally through her music. The power of a person's voice is invaluable and Daem believes this to be an important aspect of her creative process- therefore, her priority to incorporate raw, expressive vocals is attained by collaboration with many other talented female artists. Daem has worked with renowned songwriters and performers such as Robin Ruddy, who toured with Rod Stewart for numerous years, Paula Cole, Valerie Simpson, and Livingston Taylor. Daem's biggest influences include Florence + The Machine, Joni Mitchell, Pink Floyd, Sarah McLachlan, Whitney Houston, Seinabo Sey, Susanne Sundfor, Banks, Purity Ring, Bat For Lashes, James Blake, among many more.
Keep your eyes, ears and hearts open. Put your dancing shawls on. We shall cry, we shall dance. Let's keep playing night songs, baby. Daem is ready to reign!
