Out Of My Mind EP
Percy Park LP

You will never find an emcee more versatile than Daetrius Craig. Although Daetrius was raised on the slick southern wordplay of the legendary Outkast, he is also influenced by the seamless storytelling of celebrated East Coast emcees Jay-Z, Nas and B.I.G. A gifted lyricist, creative songwriter and riveting stage show performer, Daetrius is worthy of their legacy. At the young age of 19, Daetrius has already amassed over nine years of experience in artist development and is more than just an ordinary rapper.

Daetrius’s debut project P.E.R.C.Y. (Portrayal of Emotion in ouR Careless Youth) Park is a captivating tale about the separate lives of three urban youths and how they collide and interweave. Each character seeks to define themselves during moments of celebration, vengeance, carelessness, and remorse. Daetrius’s affinity for fine literature and art are certainly evidenced by his ability to tell this familiar tale in new and innovative ways. The PERCY Park Project will be delivered to the world in the form of a short film set to the soundtrack of Daetrius's compelling music. Prior to the projects release in October 2013, look for stand out tracks, “Poetic Revolution”, “Fly Away”, "Almost There", and "Limelight to capture the ears and hearts of music fans the world over.

Though the South is known for trap music and hip-hop that serves as the backdrop for gentlemen’s clubs, Daetrius provides a sound that allows the listener to self-examine while concurrently enjoying the musicality of each record. Perhaps it is his southern drawl that makes it easy for any listener to grasp and digest the gravity of his content. In the world of music, The South is already on the map. However, as the flagship artist of music group The Standard, Daetrius will be responsible for cementing this region’s position as a leader in urban music.
