The best kept secret in music

"Buzz Factor"

We will not compromise quality to get our message across and we will not compromise our message to make quality music' said the group's visionary, iLL. It's that no-compromise philosophy that has this group on the threshold of a virtually uncultivated realm in hip-hop music. From the dirt roads of Indiana hail a trio that is powerful enough to captivate the music industry and turn it upside down.

Catchy hooks and melodious rhyme patterns are the elements, and surprisingly provocative positivity is the vibe. In an age of booty rhyming, bling-blinging, and foul language, DaFilled keeps it true to its roots of upper echelon good music. They have been spreading this style all over the country with a special concentration in the Midwest. Their appearances include: World Famous Showtime at the Apollo, The Coca-Cola Circle City Classic, Indiana Black Expo, Indiana Historical Society,Downtime Club in New York City, numerous Juvenile Correctional Facilities, and many, conferences and community events. Each member has his own flavor to bring to this mix of upbeat lyrical superiority.

"DaFilled Hits Silver Screen"

From Local Studio to the Silver Screen - An Indianapolis music group´s dreams of national exposure come true

John Pierson, creator of the Independent Film Channel series, Split Screen and the filmmaker that gave Spike Lee & Michael Moore their start, has commissioned Indianapolis hip-hop group, DaFilled, to help tell the story of the ?Most Remote Theatre in the World? in the movie Reel Paradise. Reel Paradise chronicles the journey of John Pierson´s family at the end of a year-long adventure on a remote Fiji island where they operated the 180

Meridian Cinema, showing free movies to the locals.

In 2004, DaFilled were finalists on the Showtime At the Apollo on Tour. Due to the appeal of their high energy and unique performance, they were invited to New York to film a taping at the World Famous Apollo Theatre. While in the ?Big Apple?, DaFilled gained connections to the former music supervisor of Miramax Films, Beth Rosenblatt. Convinced that she could secure film placement for the

group, Beth began shopping their music to every major motion picture released. As a result, the producers of Reel Paradise heard the song Stop Dreamin´, loved it and decided to use it to create the mood for one the scenes.

DaFilled´s upward rise can be attributed directly to the group?s core mission, which is refusing to compromise quality to get their message across or compromising the message to make quality music. It´s that philosophy that has taken DaFilled to another level of a virtually uncultivated realm in hip-hop music. ´Provocative positivity´ is how the members of the three-man group classify it, meaning in an age of misogynistic lyrics, materialism, foul

language and violence, DaFilled rejects the clich, and focuses on delivering good music with a moral message.

Indianapolis film buffs can experience DaFilled in Reel Paradise during the Indianapolis International Film Festival on Thursday, April 21st at 3pm and Friday, April 22nd at 6pm, showing at Hollywood Bar & Filmworks. DaFilled is

amongst a host of prominent recording artists on the Reel Paradise soundtrack, including award winning hip-hop artist Eminem.

Reel Paradise has screened at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, the 2005 Chicago International Documentary Festival and will be showing at a host of national film festivals throughout the year.

50% of the individual ticket sales from the Indianapolis screening of Reel Paradise will benefit Young Men, Inc, a summer community service program that offers educational and recreational activities to at-risk youth. Young Men, Inc. fosters an attitude of achievement in children who live in Indianapolis Public Housing and other disadvantaged communities, by providing them with

knowledge and skills necessary to achieve positive direction in life.
