Biography

Dailynn has a passion to create powerful music that delivers a positive message. Through warm guitar tones, solid bass riffs, driving drums and infectious melodies, it is the goal of Dailynn to make a genuine connection with listeners and fans at their exact point in life.

As a band comprised of four very diverse individuals whose influences and musical taste vary from all forms of music, Dailynn has never tried to fit into any one certain genre. Instead, the band embraces all forms of music in order to create something that satisfies their individual eclectic tastes. By combining elements of driving rock, hardcore, power pop, acoustic rock, metal, punk, and their Christian beliefs, Dailynn has managed to craft a signature sound that sets them apart from the majority of their Christian contemporaries. Blending their unique sound with an overwhelmingly intense and energetic live show, Dailynn has clearly proven their commitment to originality and faith as they strive to take their music to the next level.

Lyrically, Dailynn draws from subject matter based on personal beliefs and life experiences that anyone can relate to and draw inspiration from. Musically they offer dramatic changes ranging from driving rock and relentless aggression to infectious pop hooks descending to a soothing calm sound. Technical guitar work and complex rhythm structure permeates their music as do emotionally intense melodies, three part harmonies and pop sensibilities. This musical diversity explodes in their self released debut EP, Sure of What We Hope For, recorded and produced by Mark Drury of 914 productions. The EP features eight songs which run a gamut of emotions both musically, lyrically and spiritually. The recordings display their creativity and unique genre defying style. While far from being a comprehensive guide of what Dailynn is completely capable of, Sure of What We Hope For is a magnificent grounding from which they will continue to build upon and perfect based on the solid musical foundation made between the four members.

From the countless shows they have played all over their home state it is evident that Dailynn believes in the music they create. Dailynn has a strong desire to do what they love, to play music, and share their faith with all people. Their goal is to break down the binding walls of the perception of Christians and to bridge the gap between Christians and today's music scene. Dailynn has the combination of talent, dedication, perseverance and personality to be a driving force in modern rock.

Good Intentions

Good Intentions

Verse
Tried to walk a narrow road
Conflicted by this misdirection
Tried to find a way back home
Lost inside my misconception.

Chorus
Right back in the middle of this Decision
Yet I know the answer
Right back in the middle of this
Affliction
Will I ever change my life

(Verse)
I tried to be the way I was
Truly free from my transgressions
Again I've failed have I become
Not better than my good intentions
I'm to blame for where I stand
Will I make it alive

(Chorus)
Right back in the middle of this Decision
Yet I know the answer
Right back in the middle of this
Affliction
Will I ever change my life

(Bridge)
Right back in the middle

(Chorus)
Right back in the middle of this Decision
Yet I know the answer

Right Back in the middle of this
Right Back in the middle of this
No better than my good intentions

(Chorus)
Right back in the middle of this Decision
Yet I know the answer
Right back in the middle of this
Affliction
Will I ever change my life

Colors of Amber

Written By: Fagans

Colors of Amber

(Verse)
Wipe the sleep from my eyes, awakened by the fear of the lies I've grown to trust
Look at all that I've lost, and I'm trembling
Will I ever be the same

(Verse)
I've been tricked and confused
I,ve been worn by the world now I wonder what I've heard
I return to my king but I'm trembling
Will he want me, will he turn me away

(Verse)
He said, I welcome you welcome you back
I've been standing here outside your door waiting for you to let me back in
He said, I welcome you welcome you back from the shadow of your former self
This is where you were always meant to be

(Verse)
Wipe the sleep from my eyes
I'm drowning in tears over lives I've grown to trust
See the ones that I've lost and I'm trembling
Will I ever be the same
I've been tricked and confused
I,ve been worn by the world now I wonder what I've heard
I return to my king but I'm trembling
Will he want me, will he turn me away

(Chorus)
He said, I welcome you welcome you back
I've been standing here outside your door waiting for you to let me back in
He said, I welcome you welcome you back from the shadow of your former self
This is where you were always meant to be

(Chorus)
He said, I welcome you welcome you back
I've been standing here outside your door waiting for you to let me back in
He said, I welcome you welcome you back from the shadow of your former self
This is where you were always meant to be

(Bridge)
To him who overcomes, may come
To him who overcomes, may come

(Chorus)
He said, I welcome you welcome you back
He said, I welcome you welcome you back
He said, I welcome you welcome you back
He said, I welcome you welcome you back

All This Time

Written By: Fagans

All This Time

(Verse)
Another sleepless night spent by my telephone
Woundering if I'll call this time or will I change my mind
So I sit here, my mind racing
Think of all this time I'm wasting
I'm still woundering should I call
and would you care at all

(Pre-Chorus)
If I Took the time, would you be mine
If I Took the time, would you be mine
or I've wasted, wasted

(Chorus)
Time will only tell where we're going
Will you still be mine or will you slip away
And if I take the time to make you mine this summer
Will you be there come the fall
Or has all my time been wasted, wasted

(Verse)
Another sleepless night spent driving by your house
Wondering if your there or was it all a lie
Now I'm back to my mind racing
Think of all this time I'm wasting
I'm still wondering if your there
And why I even care

(Pre-Chorus)
If I Took the time, would you be mine
If I Took the time, would you be mine

(Bridge)
It's your voice I hear at night
It's your arms that hold me tight
In my sleep, your face is in my dreams
And the sickness thats inside of me
That you might not feel the same
And you swear that you wont hurt me
But I've heard this all before

(Pre-Chorus)
If I Took the time, would you be mine
If I Took the time, would you be mine
or I,ve wasted, wasted

(Chorus)
Time will only tell where we're going
Will you still be mine or will you slip away
And if I take the time to make you mine this summer
Will you be there come the fall
Or has all my time

(Chorus)
And if I take the time to make you mine this summer
Will you be there come the fall
or has all my time been
Wasted, Wasted

Falling, Fallen

Written By: Fagans

Falling, Fallen

(Verse)
Riding through your life like it's a ride, all those up and downs
When you slip you slide your led by your eyes, led by your pride
Goals are idle talk after you get high and it hurts me to see where living endlessly can take me
I've seen everything because I've been there, but I still care, my friends live there

(Chorus)
Their falling, fallen again
And the walls are closing
Falling, fallen again
And the room is spinning
Falling, fallen again
And the walls are closing
Falling, fallen again
Do what you think you can

(Verse)
Wondering around your pushing against the wind time and time again
Never to begin you can't find and end, don't know how the road bends
And all your time yet spent wondering where the time went
And it hurts me to see what my friends don't see

(Chorus)
Their falling, fallen again
And the walls are closing
Falling, fallen again
And the room is spinning
Falling, fallen again
And the walls are closing
Falling, fallen again
Do what you think you can

(Chorus)
Their falling, fallen again
And the walls are closing
Falling fallen again
And the room is spinning
Falling, fallen again
And the walls are closing
Falling, fallen
Falling, fallen my friends
