Bio

Daisha-Manique is a new R&B artist that the music industry needs to watch closely. Blazing the trail as a singer/songwriter/performer, Daisha-Manique is destined to make waves as she arrives on the scene with her unique sound and lyrical genius. Born with singing and performing in her blood, she was capturing the attention of friends and family by the tender age of two, with her complete renditions of classic R&B songs she would hear on the radio. Whatever their request was, she would oblige, for a small fee of course!
By the time she was seven years old, she had written her very first song entitled "Why Cry Now". Five years later at twelve years old, she had a repertoire of songs. That same year she performed her very first solo entitled "King of Glory" with the adult choir at her church in Washinton, D.C. and received a standing ovation. She also sang Trinitee 5:7's hit song, "God's Grace", along with her mother in the church Talent Showcase and left the crowd asking for a CD of their rendition.
Not long after that the family relocated to Georgia where Daisha-Manique began vocal instruction under the direction of Canangela Boyd at the renowned Jan Smith Studios in Atlanta to perfect her gift.
Since then, she has performed in numerous Talent Showcases, including Middle School and High School, and mall events.
Her two most recent performances were the WestEnd Festival in Atlanta and the Redshoe Sweet Auburn Review also in Atlanta. Her mission, "To bring R&B back to it's roots starting right here in the ATL adding a unique blend of urban soul and a twist of Hip-Hop." Her purpose, "writing and recording songs and delivering performances that will appeal to the masses with no age boundaries.
With her light airy vocals, soft runs and powerhouse range, her sound has been compared to a cross between the late songstress Aaliyah and the one of a kind soulful sound of Tamia. "I must say that I am extremely humbled and honored to be compared to such phenomenal artists. They have certainly made their mark in this business and paved the way for artists such as myself to pursue my dreams!" I am happy that they have had such great success. "I believe that success awaits me as well and I am ready to work hard for it!"
