Bio

Singer/songwriter, and former Army Officer Daisy Jones has graced the platform and ministered with many choirs and singers including internationally known artists such as Marvin Sapp (Never Would Have Made It), Duranice Pace (Already Done Done), and Rance Allen (Something About that Name). This summer destiny calls as she releases her debut CD aptly entitled, “Destiny.”
Every track, including the well known single “You’re My Joy," is a repeater. The title cut, “Destiny,” reaches the soul as Jones sings of how pain and betrayal can emerge to hope and healing. Her soulful delivery of “Come on and Praise Him,” ‘Rejoice,’ and ‘Redeemed’ will drown out the Monday morning blues, take you through midweek, and make you ready for Sunday morning ‘Chuch.’ Still, the sentimental, “I Will Restore You,” has garnered much attention as it speaks to women from every walk of life with a testimony of hope and restoration. The powerful “Your Word” and “You Brought Me” are stellar hits that start off with quiet reflection and peak to heights of thankful praise. Jones’ versatility is evident as she goes from praise and worship on the high sounding anthems to the subtle but powerful ballads. The meditational track, ‘I Can See It,’ will soothe you with its jazzy piano and soulful saxophone sounds. The upbeat and contemporary bonus track “You Did It” is a powerful anthem with any age group. “Say to You’ has crossover appeal that will reach the masses for Christ. The soulful “Desert Praise,” provokes praise during the lowest times in life and is destined to become a worldwide anthem from here to Iraq and back.
Jones began directing choirs at the tender age of 15. Her gifting was nurtured by saxophone lessons, participation in the world renowned Florida A&M University Gospel and Concert Choirs, and serving in the church. Influenced by gospel singers Tramaine Hawkins, Lynette Hawkins, Twinkie Clark, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Yolanda Adams, Maurette Brown Clark, Sandi Patty and Larnelle Harris, her music moves audiences to weep in reflection and thanksgiving, as well as dance in celebration.
