I just got a a sneak preview of the new DAKK vs SLICE EP, titled “Choose Your Weapon.” Set for an October 22nd release on Audio Rejectz, this dastardly duo of Canadian dubstep artists dump some nasty glitch, rock-like progressions, and trippy female vocals into a bowl with some wobble bass and 8-bit sounds, proceed to beat the mixture until smooth and cook it up like a electronic dance gumbo.
Their soundcloud has been an open tab in my browser for a week now. The title track is a head-bobbing tune with sexy female vox and a haunting synth backdrop reminiscent of a dubstep Castlevania on crack. Watch out for the first drop!
Overall, the EP can keep you busy on the dance floor, supply you with some much needed grit and grime, while keeping the overall sound melodically interesting.

After becoming co-workers, Ben and Dave quickly found that they had a common interest, Music.
Ben has been a drummer, guitarist and bass player since he was 12 years old and 5 of those years he devoted to music production.
Dave, like Ben, has been involved in music for most of his life as well. Dave started as a trance DJ, but soon learned the beauty of a hard hitting dirty electro track.
Right from the first day of mixing Ben and Dave found an instant musical chemistry that has continued to grow and expand.
