Biography

Roots planted firmly in the Dakota Badlands, and a heart residing happily in the California foothills, give Dakota Sid Clifford a unique ability to share his vast wealth of stories and songs. His emotional honesty and dry wit, quickly take audiences from laughter to deep thought and back again.

After 25 years on the road, Dakota Sid still has that magical spark on stage that connects immediately with listeners and generates loyal fans for life. A world class musician, he genuinely cares about people, has worked hard for the environment and expresses his feelings through his work.

Travers Clifford cut his teeth in the music business at a very early age. Touring most of the country with his dad, Travers is more than steeped in the honored traditions of the traveling musician. At the ripe old age of 27 he is a 20 year veteran of the road; a bona fide member of that next generation of Americana musician who push the boundaries of American Folk and Blues by mixing it up with the music from around the world. Beyond doubt a fireball of a performer. Travers always stokes up the crowd with his natural stage presence, hot guitar and faster-than-greased-lightning “punk grass” mandolin licks.

Dakota Sid and Travers Clifford, are father and son, best of friends, dynamic Folk/Americana duo who win hearts and “wow” audiences with every performance.
