Bio

Extraordinary - passionate - provocative - mysterious; these are words gathered from folks of all kinds and places when asked to describe Dale Richardz. Among them were also words that portray a man who is moved and perhaps even unsettled by forces unseen. Overall it becomes apparent that Dale Richardz’ artistic vision and remarkable insight is shaped by a tremendous collection of world-wide adventures and life experiences.

Born in the south and raised along the northern Mississippi river, Dale conveys both a southern and midwestern hospitality. His demeanor is also seasoned by the influence of living on both coasts and sailing throughout the world. On the one hand you’ll find a humble disposition shaped by years of triumph and tragedy; a man of faith given to contemplation and solitude. On the other hand you’ll find a humorous and gentle person who seems almost eager to engage in conversation with anyone interested in life.

He began his artistic journey at an early age, mastering instruments with inherent ability. He began playing live by the age of eight, gathering attention as something of a music prodigy. At the age of ten, to standing ovations, he unanimously won first prize at a statewide talent competition, performing on both drums and guitar.

In spite of growing success on the road, Dale was forced to join school symphony. He quickly advanced to become an all state percussionist. He was inducted into various halls of record while receiving numerous awards and commendations.

While in the Navy, Dale performed in the Navy Band. Later he enjoyed freelance work throughout Asia. He was decorated by the Navy for various military campaigns while he simultaneously conducted a personal campaign to advance his knowledge of numerous instruments, music theory and English literature.

After sailing nearly a decade, Dale and his bride moved from California to Boston. It was there that Dale began to delve more deeply into writing, composition, arrangement, and production. He later became a music director and eventually began his career as a solo artist. His song, “If I’d Never,” is presently on national radio coast to coast.
