Dale Seaman has been playing at our Club for at least 5 years. He and his band are amazing and are the most requested Entertainer that I bring in. Definitely a House Favorite.

Any Event like Dinner/Dance I book Dale as I know I'll have a "sell out crowd" Dale is such a personable and caring person as is his wife Laurie and all the band. They are an absolute pleasure to have play in our Club.

His music is definitely "get you up and out of your seat". Absolutely great music, great people, great Entertainer. Follow Dale Seaman and you'll never have a nights disappointment.

Over the last year Dale Seaman and his band highway #97 has played at the ANAVETS club unit #97 several times. It is very easy to see in the early afternoon when his crew and band members show up to set up all of their equipment that there will be a good show later that evening. Later as the lights go down and the music starts Dale with his easy going and gentle demeanor suddenly turns into song writer and singer. Then the dance floor erupts into whirl of activity as he plays songs that he has written such as Casino girl, This Ol'Barstool, and Just a matter of time. Dale also sings many cover songs from all the old time country favourites such as GarthBrooks.

As I see it Dale Seaman and his band Highway #97 is going to go a long way within the music industry. I would highly recommend any venue that has the opportunity to hire them for a night it can only lead to positive results for their venue.

Penticton’s Dale Seaman has always had a passion for country music and says, “I began singing 10-years ago and I’m thrilled that I’ve finished my second CD”. His first album was called “Something To Do” was released in 2009 and his new one, “What’s In My Heart” features his favorite radio song, “Just A Matter Of Time” in which he does a duet with Mikie Spillett.As with his first album, Dale wrote two of the songs on his follow-up CD. Penticton’s country gentleman, Dale Seaman, releases a new CD

Dale Seaman‘s sophomore CD took longer to produce than he had ever hoped for.
Summer vacations, illness, getting hold of musicians – he ran into nearly every obstacle.
Welcome to the world of being an independent artist.
Now that it‘s completed, the final product – What‘s In My Heart – is a six-song EP that the Penticton country singer is extremely proud of.
“There‘s quite a bit of variety. Two traditional type country songs, one Spanish sounding song, a bluegrass number and my very first original duet,” he explained.
There‘s even a cheating song, something he tells his wife Laurie isn‘t from a first-hand experience.
“She said, ’are you sure you want to record that‘ but the album is about life experiences. It‘s a song about a man thinking about cheating and then realizing what he has at home.
“This Ol‘ Barstool is about when a woman leaves a guy and he decides he can sit at home and mope or he can say ’to hell with it‘ and go out and have fun. It‘s two totally different tempos. We mixed it up quite a bit.”
The CD will be officially released Friday, March 25 at a CD release party at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 40 at 6:30 p.m. He chose the Legion as the venue for his release party because it was one of the first clubs to book him on a regular basis when he started in the business over six years ago. He also likes the acoustics in the room.
For the release party he hopes to have as many of the original musicians who played on the CD make cameos at his show.
The CD is a collaborative effort with Keith Lamoureux who played lead guitar, electric, acoustic and bass and wrote two of the songs – This Ol‘ Barstool and What‘s In My Heart.
“Keith came to me at the time of my first album with these two incredible songs but then we had a bit of a falling out and didn‘t see each other for a while. When we met up again I asked him if I could still record the songs and it went from there. The work he‘s done on this project is so amazing. I‘m very grateful”
Others who lent their talents to the CD are Lavern Panich, keyboards, Dominic Cormier, banjo and vocals, Vic Ukrainetz, fiddle and mandolin, Sharon Heise, vocals, Courtney Brown, vocals, Al Hildebrand, pedal steel, Wayne Thordarson, songwriter (Casino Girl) and Mikie Spillet, who duets on Just A Matter Of Time, one of two tracks penned by Seaman (the
other being El Tecuan).
Five of the six songs are originals while the lone cover is a remake of Alan Jackson‘s It‘s Just That Way.
“I love that song,” he explains of why he included one remake. “It fits my voice well.”
While Seaman‘s live performances feature mostly cover versions of country classics, he does play some of his own material including a handful of numbers from his debut CD Something I Had To Do.
He appreciates that his audience now recognizes some of his original
material.
He acknowledges Giant FM for the exposure they‘ve given him over the years dating back to when he won a talent contest in Kelowna which earned him a two-song set at the Merritt Mountain Music Festival.
In addition to clubs and bars in the Okanagan, he‘s been invited to play at numerous festivals and special events including Peach City Beach Cruise, President‘s Day, Oliver‘s Music in the Park and Parks Alive.
“As much as I enjoy playing live, I love recording. Watching it all come together is really neat and very enjoyable. It just takes longer than you expect sometimes.”
