Bio

It all started with the vision and determination of Chad Rhodes a local resident of small town Dallas, GA. Never one to be idle, right out of high school Chad had formed a large and successful landscape company around the Atlanta area. He was living the "American Dream" the good simple country life, a wife, kid and nice house in a nice country town. This peace would only last a short while, with the economy tanking and fighting just to stay a float, and being served with divorce papers on the front porch after work one evening is enough to bring any man to his knees. Instead of quitting Chad used the hard times to inspire the songs that just naturally come from within. He soon realized he wasn't the only one with similar struggles, and set out to find the perfect compliments to form the group Dallas! Justin Kelley is a multi-talented Dallas native as well. Besides being able to Sing and play multiple instruments Justin also brings down to home song writing and arranging skills to group. "Just jamming with him for a few minutes i knew that we would compliment each other perfect"-Chad Rhodes After playing together for a few months at the local open mic nights Chad and Justin could feel the response that their original songs were receiving. So the next logical step was to acquire a band and take it to the next level. thus enters Stephen Adams. Stephen the owner of Silvertree Studios, had met Chad when he came out to record a demo. After seeing the drive and determination, (and not to mention the great sound) Stephen knew that Chad and Justin were on too something! So with Stephen being brought on as the bass player he then introduced Chad and Justin to a local guitar player by the name of Chris Hembree. "Within jamming on the first few songs we looked at each other and we knew that this was good! We just had a great feel of where were each gonna go with the songs"- Justin Kelley With everything falling into place the only missing piece was a solid drummer. "Man we must have auditioned 15 drummers! but when Chris (Kittredge) came out.... we all looked at each other and knew he had what we were looking for!"-Chris Hembree. Chris a Atlanta Institute of Music graduate, was a local drum instructor and session player. Initially he was brought on to play drums for a big upcoming show for the band. The band had managed to score a opening spot for the veteran country group Little Texas. After a few rehearsal's Chris realized that this was the kind of group he was looking for! a group with a lot of passion for what they were doing. According to most peoples standards the band would have been complete at this point, but the guys realized that their was still an element missing that they wanted to portray. Then on a Tuesday night at a local bar the guys ran across Callie singing karaoke. Without a doubt they knew that was the element they were missing! "Somehow we talked her (Callie) into coming out and joining our group. She had to of thought we were a bunch dumb rednecks!(laughter)"-Chad Rhodes "She is a great addition and somehow she tolerates us!"-Justin Kelley. Thus the band Dallas was formed. A tribute to the community that shaped their lives and taught them how to be who they are. Dallas quickly hit the scene recording their self produced EP "Ridin On Luck" and played a slew of acoustic shows, festivals, and local gigs and party's. With their infectious harmony's quickly spreading it wont be long before everyone in the south knows the name Dallas!
