An East Coast hip-hopper who writes and produces true hip hop, Da Lyrical has been called the "best rapper to ever come out of Western Pennsylvania" by the likes of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Da Lyrical has remained a fixture on the underground/indie scene first and foremost because of his ability to flow -- period. "A true MC never loses his skills," says Lyrical. "I can flip it any way, anywhere, and about whatever. Freestyle on demand!"
Da Lyrical has remained underground for parts of the last two decades because of his steadfast refusal to dilute his music with the trite, so-called "rap" cliches that have ruled the airwaves in recent years. After working with long time partner D.J. Assassin (pgh) releasing records, doing shows and recording at I.N.S studio in New York City. Once known only as a rapper, Da Lyrical wrote, produced and performed every song on the new album.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Lyrical has released numerous singles and seen significant airplay in his native Pittsburgh, opened for KRS-One among others, and performed and battled all over the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast regions, including New York City.
