Bio

DameGoodz (pronounced Damaged Goods), is just that. Skye has arisen from the flames, and come out on top! The song, 'Fallen From Grace' chronicles the wild and crazy adventures she would go on as a debauchery chaser. 'Disconnected' portrays the rejection everyone feels with love lost.

The project has been a long time coming. Skye Patrick is the creator, producer, singer, and sole musician for this project. She creates every beat and rhythm and then layers in beats, bass lines, guitar and vocals to create the sound of the DameGoodz project. The music moves through genres from around the world, industrial, hip-hop to rock. Though this it is a rare accomplishment, there is seamless melding of sounds and rhythm.

DameGoodz is a musical project about process. This one-person band definitely gives the illusion of an entire musical group.

The reason DameGoodz fusion works is because Skye has been involved in many types of musical projects. Patrick was one half of duo Kleer-Epiphany (1996-98) in Baltimore, MD. K-E toured around Maryland doing African based programming and theatre shows. She then joined Ngoma, a Washington D.C. (1998-99) based five piece African drum group. When she moved to Pittsburgh, PA to pursue her Masters degree, she played drums for a local rock cover band called Wendy (2000). She was enlisted as drummer for the Slam Poets (2000-01), to do a national tour, bringing AIDS awareness through music and poetry to underserved communities.

In 2001, Skye moved to San Francisco. She began working with Sonji Woodruff, playing drums and they formed BLEU. Bleu was an acoustic folk/soul duo that was well received in the Bay Area. They played all over California, including The National Queer Arts Festival (2002), San Francisco’s LadyFest, San Francisco Pride, Women's Stage (2002, 2005), Hopland Women’s Music Festival (2002), The Dyke March (2002), and many other places in between. When the Bleu project had run its course, she began creating beats and composing music for many projects, including S.L.A.M.B. with Lynn Breedlove of Tribe 8, Sini Anderson of Sister Spit, solo multi media show, Opening Band, One Trik Pony Dance Troupe.

In 2004, she became a member of punk rock band, Tribe 8 (www.tribe8.com), playing rhythm guitar and programming. With Tribe 8, she played the famous "Bottom of the Hill" venue, The Eagle, Cherry Bar, and SLIMS. She toured with the band, playing the San Diego Gay Pride and played their last show at the Michigan Women’s Music Festival 2005. DameGoodz was officially formed in 2002, as a production company, but did not form as a music show until 2004. Please check out the MUSIC link on the website.
