I am a Serbian-born immigrant who arrived in Canada at the age of 3 months. I became interested in music at around the age of 11 when I picked the bass guitar as my instrument for my elementary school music program. I learned the basics from lessons and by playing in my high school jazz bands. My earliest influences were mainly metal bands and the first music I recorded was mostly instrumental "technical prog metal" or whatever you want to call it. By writing these early complex songs I was able to develop my technical abilities and my songwriting skills. Over the years many artists have been changing the way I look at music time and time again. Some of these artists include: Magma, Captain Beefheart, Swans, John Coltrane, Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground, James Brown, Voivod, and Igor Stravinsky. I feel my musical vision is constantly changing and evolving; no song I write is the same and I refuse to pigeon hole myself into one established style. I play 99% of the instruments in my recordings and I write my own music and lyrics. Due to my lack of drums I create my own percussion section within each recording by overdubbing anything from tambourine, to chopsticks, to actual drumsticks into one complexly layered (although some songs lack this 'layer' and instead feature either only one or two instruments). My songs range anywhere from very complex polyrhythmic compositions to noisy low fidelity rock and roll tunes. I hope to gain an audience for what I record in the near future.
