Damon Carren is one of Perth’s finest blues guitarists.A seasoned pro on the perth music scene, Damon’s music has been featured in the internationally released motion picture “Aussie Park Boys 2” and also the documentary “The History of Northbridge”. He has shared the stage with rock royalty Mick Cocks of Rose Tattoo, members of The Baby Animals,Diesel,The Angels and The Screaming Jets and many more. Damon has also performed in support acts for Canned Heat, Dave Hole,Renee Geyer, Jon Stevens,Richard Clapton,Diesel,The Poor and Jimmy Barnes. In 2002 he was asked to perform “Waltzing Matilda” in front of 30,000 fans in the opening ceremony before a rugby test between the Wallabies and All Blacks.
‘The Psychedelic Freak Flag’ is the rhythm section of Leroy Cleaver (drums) and Tony McNamara (bass) who provide the backdrop for Damon’s six string sonic stories.
Live, the band showcases Damon’s original songs as well as covers by artists such as T-Bone Walker,John Lee Hooker,JJ Cale, Tony Joe White,Junior Wells,Eric Clapton,Cream, Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top.The band is capable of performing live in acoustic mode incorporating Damon's dobro/12 string 6 string acoustic guitars and mandolin skills or as a classic 3piece electric power trio.

Damon's debut CD ''MAGENTA'' is an eleven song journey of six electric and five acoustic tracks.
Damon and his band are currently recording material for his second release and playing selected electric and acoustic shows around Perth.
