Bio

Save Me from Myself is the debut album release from Damon Johnston the founding member guitarist and vocalist for the Dallas grunge band Sirensong and the Phoenix hard rock grunge band Velvet Garden.Returning to the studio to work with Otto D'Agnolo at Chaton Studios.Save Me From Myself is the debut solo release from Damon Johnston showcasing the grunge guitarist and vocalist music as a solo artist under the Manchester England indie label Stutter Records ltd.Set for release December 2011 "Save Me From Myself" contains tracks recorded at Chaton Studios with lyrics inspired by past drug addiction problems and the grim consequences as well as suffering life long manic deression issues and problems.

In early 1990 life for the grunge guitarist would change dramatically once cocaine came into his world. As a result Damon Johnston would live to tell the story of the many countless drug over doses.Surviving a 85 mile per hour car crash while being chased by police.Being beaten unconcious with a car jack over a drug deal gone bad as well as held at gunpoint and knife point in a motel all for the sake of drugs.Being homeless due to drug abuse and the horrors that were created as a result of this drug and the nightmares you live even after sobriety. This album shares some of these past horrors lived and survived.Save Me From Myself is a reflection into the world of hard core drug abuse in the darkest of moments

Damon Johnston guitarist and vocalist was born October 2,1962 in Longview Texas to Bruce and Gloria Johnston.Damon started playing guitar at the early age of seven and was influenced by such artists as Three Dog Night, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and others.Damon's first live performance would be a duet performed with his sister in their church.Playing by ear and not reading sheet music,Damon inherited his musical talent from his grand mother who played gospel music and was a self taught piano player.Damon would go onto form the Texas based 80's hard rock band "Wolfgang" with former "Little Texas" drummer Dean Johnson, bassist James Monkhouse and guitarist Brock Whatley.Playing and performing in clubs and venues throughout Texas thoughout the eighties "Wolfgang" would disband in early 1993 with the band members going their seperate ways to persue other music avenues.
