"Reeve Carney // NYC 8.11.2016"

"When I arrive at Mercury Lounge in the East Village, there’s a line down the block and a sign on the front door of the bar that says “tonight’s show: SOLD OUT”. When the doors open, I make my way to the front of the venue. Australian native, Dan Krochmal, opens the show. His angelic voice accompanied by an acoustic guitar he plays himself, makes me thankful for arriving to the show early. He plays a set of a few covers and a lot of originals, and gets everybody excited for the rest of the night with his tunes and witty on stage banter." - Stitched Sound

Still working on that hot first release.

Australian-born singer-songwriter Dan Krochmal has been stunning audiences into silence since his arrival to New York. With an ethereal voice that soars across octaves, and poignant songs coming straight from the soul, Krochmal’s performances defy gravity.

In late 2014, Krochmal paid homage to one of his heroes with a stand-out performance at the 17th Annual Jeff Buckley Tribute in Chicago, before embarking on a solo acoustic tour through the US. After performing in New York, he realized he was destined to call it home, returning in May 2015 with only a suitcase and his guitar. In August 2016, he opened for Reeve Carney (Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark, HBO's Penny Dreadful) at a sold out show at the world-famous Mercury Lounge, and in September for Fatai at Rockwood Music Hall at the final show of her sold out US tour. He was a featured interviewee in Sony Music’s “You & I” documentary about Jeff Buckley’s early career.

Since early 2017, he has been building a forest recording studio in the Pocono mountains, where he recently completed self-producing his next album, “New York City Fever”, slated for release in 2020.
