The daughter of acclaimed screen thesp Moshe Ivgy, the 31-year-old Dana Ivgy proved her acting chops in two wrenching Keren Yedaya pics, 2004’s “My Treasure” and 2009’s “Jaffa.”

INDEPENDENCE DAYS: Her first film, 1992’s “Malachim B’Ruah,” starred her father. She’s worked steadily in movies and TV since, last year nabbing two Israeli Film Academy Awards — an actress trophy for her comic turn in Talya Lavie’s “Zero Motivation,” and a supporting actress prize for her perf as a special-needs woman in Asaf Korman’s “Next to Her.”

MAKE ’EM LAUGH: Ivgy is a founding member of comedy improv troupe Tziporela, which earlier this winter had its Off Broadway debut in a show called “Odd Birdz.” Doing stage work, she says, keeps her sharp onscreen. “I’ve been with Tziporela for 10 years,” she says, performing at least twice a week “doing very stupid things.”

METHOD PREGNANCY: During filming for “Next to Her,” in which she played a mentally challenged woman, Ivgy was two months pregnant with her son Mikha’el. The change in her body, she says, helped her tackle the role. “It added to this slowness and flow. I had this amazing sense of calm,” she says. “And we also wanted the character to be a bit chubbier than me, to have a little bit of a belly, and it was just perfect.” - Variety
