What started as musicians intermingling as sidemen for many late night gigs, blossomed one of New Orleans hottest emerging bands. The band has accumulated a large reputation and even larger fan base through extensive gigging and touring. Averaging 6 shows a week and producing fresh, soulful music from the past present and original.
The Dana Abbott band’s all-star lineup features New Orleans finest musicians and funkiest characters all of whom have deep roots in New Orleans music. Influenced by Motown blues and rock, the Dana Abbott band seamlessly combines the styles with the right amount of raw edge and space. The band continually stretches the bounds of New Orleans music turning ears and shaking hips wherever they perform.

Our set list includes a wide range of music from motown(dock of the bay, Son of a preacher man and Let's stay together) to blues(Stormy Monday, Big boss man) to rock(pinball wizard, Brass in pocket) to New orleans soul(pushing daisies, I got loaded, hey pocky A way) We have original music as well that combines these styles brilliantly. Are sets are anywhere between 45 minutes to 5 hours.
