I began writing the music included in my album BLESSED in the summer of 2004. "A Promise For Tomorrow" was designed as a solo for me to sing to the congregation at the church where I had joined the choir the previous year. My family had been through a traumatic experience in which we nearly lost our four-and-a-half-year-old disabled daughter to a devastating pneumonia infection. Prayer and faith brought us through, and my daughter is still on earth to teach and amaze us. God could have taken her to Heaven at any time, but as one nurse said, our daughter still has something to do Here. The songs in this album reflect my thanksgiving for the miracle we received, as well as my lifelong experiences in various churches, and the Christian messages that registered in my mind. This is music from my soul to your soul. And my daughter loves to listen to this CD!
