Bio
Dana Williams was born in Los Angeles, CA to a musical family. Her father was famed guitarist, David Williams who played for Michael Jackson for over 30 years, as well as Madonna, Chaka Khan and the Temptations to name a few. Dana herself spent her childhood attending her father's studio sessions and rehearsals. A recent Sarah Lawrence College graduate, she studied poetry and art music there and was able to hone in on her craft. Dana is now a 22 year old singer/songwriter who splits her time between LA and NYC and will be touring with Leighton Meester this fall. Sam Cooke, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Feist are some of her biggest musical influences and she hopes to invoke the same feeling in her music.
