My Uncle bought me a guitar and some lessons after my parents split up. That gave me the outlet to rid some of the grief and angst that i had after it happened. The lessons gave me the technical knowledge of how to play guitar but i shortly found that to learn soul and dynamics you need to learn how to put poetry into the music using chords and sounds that make you feel like the guitar is talking to you.
I started writing lyrics shortly after i moved to Toronto. I also started expanding my library of music listening to people like Emmy Lou Harris, John Mayer, Tom Waits, Thrice, Dave Matthews etc. I quickly started focusing largely on the lyrics of my songs because I strongly felt that if you had a strong message, you'd have a powerful song.
I am presently working on my full-length record and living in Toronto attending the George Brown College, Graphic Design program for the soul purpose of learning how to create SWEET posters and website material to promote my music! YEA!
