Kiki Carter Webb and Greg "Elwood" Webb first met onstage in the early 1990s to sing a duet, and they've been making sweet music together ever since.Their musical collaboration has undergone various incarnations, from "The Great Wet Band" to simply "Kiki Carter and Greg Webb." Now, after a journey that took them from their native Gainesville, Fla., to northern Minnesota, the two have transformed into dancing Light (little d, big L). She performs light percussion, he plays acoustic guitar, and their voices merge in perfect folk harmony.dancing Light's live performances are a transcendent experience for audiences -- an intoxicating blend of storytelling, humor, and original songs with powerful imagery. Their music is referred to as "cosmic acoustic." Ask Greg what that means and he'll tell you it's "soulful acoustic music with a cosmic perspective." Kiki, a noted activist, often infuses her lyrics with hopes and dreams of a brighter future for our planet. In their honeymoon of a musical career, they've opened for Arlo Guthrie, provided the musical focus for a Deepak Chopra appearance, and played countless concerts, festivals, and benefit shows. With their own independent record label, Sunblossom Records, releasing dancing Light's albums, Kiki and Greg continue to deliver their soulful music to inspire, amuse, and uplift.

Who is dancing Light?

Two powerful solo singer/songwriters met on stage at a benefit concert for an environmental organization when they were asked to duet on a verse together. The musical collaboration of Greg Webb and Kiki Carter Webb is known as dancing Light.

The name dancing Light comes from a cosmic journey that Kiki experienced when near death in 1983...a light-filled vision of the nature of the universe. Kiki's songwriting is reflective of her personal journey and is often a call for unity and higher consciousness. As a vocalist, Kiki is magnetic, drawing you into her inner world. She shares her intimate connection to her muse with her audience. Kiki's lyric writing is visually compelling and her classical instrumental training works it's way into her vocal phrasing and unusual harmonies.

Greg's soulful voice is full and rich, reflecting the earthy styles of his early musical influences: Bob Dylan, The Band, Spider-John Koerner, Leo Kottke, The Grateful Dead. You will often hear blues and R&B influences in Greg's writing. Greg's lyrics are poetic portals and you'll find his cosmic love songs peppered throughout your dancing Light concert.

What is unique about dancing Light?

Greg and Kiki combine their complementary voices and musical styles with a purpose behind their passion - to participate in the creation of a new paradigm for the 21st century.

They are musical lightworkers whose deepest longings are for higher consciousness, unity of spirit, abundance, health and peace for all who coexist on this miraculous blue-green planet.
