Bio

DAN & CLAY combine a double shot of foot stomping roots, bottleneck slide and lap steel guitar with genuine country soul. Their swampy stomp story telling harmonies are in the vein of Simon and Garfunkel or CSN (Crosby, Stills and Nash). Both prolific singer songwriters in their own right, they come together as equal men sharing a love of the ocean and wanderlust that sees them frequent East Coast towns and festivals.

Chained to the wheel, the duo's adventures have already found them sharing the stage with The Black Sorrows snagging a support slot for the 2010 Four Day's in Sing Sing Tour. They were also caught busking at this years Byron Bay Bluesfest after winning a Good Friday set alongside John Butler, Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy.

The past few months has bought them providence in epic waves and some rockin gigs at the East Coast's premier venues. Their latest honorary invites have included; their own headlining slot for The International Buskers & Comedy Festival party at the Hoey Moey Pub in Coffs Harbour, playing the Hard Rock Cafe for Surfers Paradise Festival (headlined by You Am I) and strumming some sunset tunes at the Breaka Surf Pro ASP world tour event held on the Gold Coast’s famous pointbreak at Burleigh Heads. They even won over a crowd of 17,500 footy fans who voted them runners up on the Australian Power Stage chosen from Gold Coast Titans pre-match entertainment at Skilled Park stadium.

DAN HANNAFORD (www.danhannaford.com)
Dan’s guitar swings between 'Roots, Soul and Rock'n Roll' but his music has a real sense of place. Straight out of his unique surroundings on the South Queensland coast, Dan’s Currumbin Valley home overlooks famous surf breaks in the east and green hills to the west. He uses folksy acoustic guitars, bottleneck slide, jaw harp and a backyard built stomp box to create a signature swag of songs. His are stories of a life by the sea and he is a man who can make any pub or festival gig feel as free-spirited as a jam on the back verandah. Dan has travelled many roads in his short time impressing everyday punters and industry heavyweights along the way. He has worked with some of the best in the country to produce his brand new six-track EP 'Bootleg' courtesy of Sony Studios Australia.
