Dan Clews

Twilight folktronica tinged artist Dan Clews draws his sonic structure from a diverse spectrum of styles, places and people. Hailing from one of the last remaining traditional strawberry farms in Kent, The Garden Of England is the foundation for his song-writing landscape. His eccentric father (having played on the London folk scene in the 70’s) and Dan can be found at the farm, mid fruiting season selling fine strawberries and playing into the night. Having spent 2 years at L.C.M and 2 years at L.I.P.A, Dan threw himself into the Swedish Indie/Folk scene collaborating with some of the most interesting talent around, the core of which, “The Stars Above” quoted “one of Sweden’s finest Americana Bands” (Maverick) put out 2 releases………both now sold out. These releases have now sealed him a Publishing Deal with George Martin Music (owned by legendary Beatles producer Sir George Martin), support slots for Bloc Party, Jeffrey Lewis, Air Traffic, The Good Books, Clear Lake and The Brute Chorus not to mention XFM and BBC airplay and exclusive sessions on BBC and Virgin Radio. Dan has also worked at the famous Abbey Road conducting and arranging for Faroe Islands Star Lena Anderson.

Now working on a much anticipated third release with some big name producers on board including Giles Martin, who has found time in between working on a Martin Scorsese film and a huge Brian Wilson Project, to work on Dan’s next release, watch out for what is to be a killer album.
