Bio

Dandelion Killers began their musical assault on the general public in 2005. The collaboration of the three musicians from the unlikely setting of rural Herefordshire, coupled with a passion for writing infectious songs, produced an explosion of chemistry and make for one of the most energetic, powerful and exciting bands around.

Armed with an already huge and ever growing repertoire of instantly catchy, original material, the band’s constant gigging (now approaching 300 performances) has led to them being referred to as ‘Veterans of the local circuit’ with frenetic live shows never failing to pull in large audiences of dedicated, loyal and enthusiastic fans. But their following extends much further than the edges of their home county. The trio have played nationwide in various, renowned venues in London, Bristol, Cardiff, Oxford and Liverpool. As well as organising multiple mini tours throughout North Wales and the Midlands, recruiting more vocal chords to their collection of gigantic, sing along choruses. Live gigs are without doubt the best way to experience this band.

The Dandelion Killers have also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many well respected and signed acts such as The Subways, The Automatic, Neil’s Children, Fortune Drive, The Anomalies, and Attic Lights. Recently play-listed on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 music, the band have done several live sessions, have regular airplay and interviews on BBC Hereford & Worcester, as well as other local and internet stations. They have also had multiple appearances and praise in NME and other music publications. Kingsley Ward of the legendary Rockfield Studios, (home of Queen, Black Sabbath, Supergrass, Oasis, Coldplay, etc) generously gave the Dandelion Killers free recording time after seeing the band live. Constantly striving for bigger and better songs, the three piece are currently writing at a relentless and prolific rate, playing venues all around the UK, unleashing their own blend of stonking riffs and songs so laden with hooks they have to be surgically removed!
