Dandelion Massacre

Dandelion Massacre

 Modesto, California, USA
BandFolkPunk

Dandelion Massacre takes the old-time and makes it punk with 'blue-grass' instrumentation, but stripped down to blues and punk melodies and structure. No dueling banjo solos or warm heavenly vocal harmonies here, just crusty American underground folk.

Biography

Dandelion Massacre creates a snappy old-time sound that pulls your ears in for a listen just to be clogged by a crust from the underlins that forms from not showering very often. Contradiction, life's balancing act. Prior to the germination of Dandelion Massacre, its members' musical pasts were born in punk, dabbled in metal, turned to indie, then wandered over to grandpa's and got lost in his old records.

DM started with the demise of the members' past bands in the spring of 2009. DM started playing shows in and around Modesto, California and have since expanded to play Fresno and the San Francisco Bay Area regularly. In 2011 DM released their first full-length and hit the road on a North-West U.S. tour. Also in 2011, Dandelion Massacre won a Modesto Area Music Award in the "Best Alternative/Indie" category.

Recently Dandelion Massacre released a five song E.P. and are releasing their second full-length album in October.
